Cedar Exterior Stairs - Rebuild

These exterior stairs in Milton, Ontario lead from the parking area down to a deck. They had been deteriorating for some time so the client had CC & Sons rebuild them in the same style as the existing deck and look and improve them with a handrail for safer use.

Reclaimed Victorian Detail

This house, located close to the University of Toronto, had been divided up into student housing, the stairway had been an entrance to another apartment. When the dividing wall was taken down, there was no handrail and so a new one had to be built. This handrail was constructed with the period of the home in mind and the existing upstairs handrail, which had remained intact. The balusters (spindles) are oak and not painted, as per the clients vision.

Third Floor Renovation - Part One

This posting is Part One of a renovation on the third floor of a typical Toronto townhouse that CC and Sons Contracting completed. It consisted of two adjacent rooms which were in their original state but in need of repair due to substantial water damage.

Cracked plaster repaired using zinc plated washers.

Safe and Sound insulation in parting wall. This is where the custom cabinetry, closet and study desk is going to go. Electrical is installed to supply LED lighting and outlets.
